Cassina de' Pecchi : new Sirti centre Structural project .
It is a several storey building, entirely precast in the elevation part on a concrete bed foundations.These needed special care because of the possible pushes from below caused by the high water-bearing stratum . The reception is made of a metal structure and is connected to the main building through a two-storey tunnel, partly underground, which is also made of steel in the one storey part that is not underground .It has a truncated-pyramid shape , made with four steel outlined doorways , with highly spread apart posts, that are intersected. These doorways support four other back-to-front frames, smaller in size, hanged to the previous ones , that create an intermediate garret. The whole structure is covered with inclined walls, totally made of glass , on a structure made of steel structural shapes that supports them.
